Frédéric Delord
Founding Partner of TOPS Consult
Frédéric Delord holds a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Sciences of Grenoble and then from HEC Executive Education. He is a partner and founder (2008) of the services company TOPS Consult dedicated to operational support for companies in their objectives of improving their commercial efficiency and conquering new markets (France and International).
Frédéric began his career in Industry (Chemicals, Agri-Food, Pulp and Paper) within a subsidiary of an American group where he stayed for 9 years, first as a Sales Engineer and then as General Manager of the Western Europe zone. He then joined the BOUYGUES group where he stayed for ten years as Sales and Marketing Director in the SAUR group (Environmental businesses) then Director of Strategy for the “External Networks” activity of BOUYGUES ENERGIE SERVICES. During this period, he completed his knowledge of the BtoB sector with that of the sale of products and services dedicated to the Public Sector (Municipalities, EPCI, Administrations).
Finally, before devoting himself entirely to the Management and development of TOPS Consult in 2012, he spent 3 years as General Manager France of the company Solairedirect, French leader in solar energy production (€213 million turnover in 2011) which joined the ENGIE group.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in sales team management, Frédéric has specialized, among other things, in improving the commercial performance of companies as well as in Innovation Marketing and the definition of Growth Strategy in connection with the Public or Private Sector.
In this context, Frédéric has also carried out projects of:
Strategic advice for the repositioning of companies (start-ups, SMEs, large groups) concerning in particular the challenges of organic and external growth, expansion of the offer and development strategies (Digital, International),
Diagnosis of commercial efficiency in both SMEs and large groups in industrial or service sectors (collective catering, energy, mutual insurance, IoT, heavy industry, telecom) and the implementation of action plans dedicated to improving commercial performance (implementation of processes, training, sales seminars, etc.).
Supporting Luxury Houses in their development: establishment of a cosmetics company's subsidiary in France, digital transformation of Wine/Spirits and Beauty/Cosmetics Houses.
Furthermore, Frédéric has been an Affiliate Professor at HEC in Strategic Marketing and Commercial Effectiveness since 2004 and is particularly involved in the definition of Innovation Strategies and new business models (case of the impact of Digital or CSR for example).
